Community Meetings on 2018 Evergreen Park and Recreation Proposal

Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) is holding three Community Meetings in May 2018 on a possible bond measure for the November ballot to fund capital improvements to District facilities, parks and trails, and a mill levy to support operations and maintenance needs.

A 38-member Citizen Task Force has made recommendations for needed improvements that include addressing aquatic needs, a new gymnasium with an elevated walk-jog track, ADA enhancements to our local parks, Evergreen Lake North Trail repairs, property/land acquisition and more.

Can't attend any of the meetings? EPRD has uploaded to our YouTube channel a seven-part series of videos capturing information presented at the first meeting on May 12, 2018.

New Bicycle Aid Station at Buchanan Park!
Cyclists - now that the weather is finally warm enough to get out on two wheels for your workout, you'll be glad to know EPRD has installed a new Bicycle Aid Station in North Evergreen! If you find your tire's air is low or something needs tightening, just pull up at the station, located along the Pioneer Trail near the Buchanan Park ballfields.
The Buchanan Park Bicycle Aid Station has an outdoor-rated public work stand and air pump that works on all bikes, to give you tools you need to perform basic bicycle repairs and maintenance. It is stocked with everything you need to fix your bike: Phillips and standard screwdrivers, two steel core tire levers, a headset/pedal wrench, 8/10 & 9/11 mm cone wrenches, torx T-25 and a hex key set.
All we ask is that you sign in to the Log Book so we know how many people are using it and can show our grantors that the Station is being used! Even better ... take a selfie at the aid station and post…
